About Me

My name is David Walker. I am a happily married father of two living in North Ogden, Utah and work for American Airlines as a B-737 Captain. In my spare time I run a technology consulting business, garden, remodel a 1930's bungalow, mountain bike, and volunteer at church.

The purpose of this blog is mostly personal. It gives me a space to record progress on a "dream" project of building my own airplane. This will serve as a builder's log for the FAA airworthiness certification I hope to obtain at the end of the project.

I will attempt to approach it in a manner that might provide some insight to those of you who happen to be in the same place.... clueless about building an experimental airplane.

To those of you who have done similarly, thank you. I have viewed dozen's of blogs trying to understand process, sequence, and methods. A picture is worth a thousand words - perhaps two thousand when written in 1980 by Van's Aircraft Company. Happily, they have improved over the past 20+ years.

Thanks for stopping by.
